LINKING ARMS ASSOCIATION

The specific and primary purposes for which the corporation is formed and for which it shall be exclusively administered and operated are to:

• receive, administer and expend funds for the charitable and educational purposes in connection with the informing and educating of Americans on matters relating to the concerns and needs of charitable organizations, particularly those that sponsor projects and trips that assist others in need
• informing and educating members concerning current events and matters of interest to them and to provide general information concerning benefits and services available to them from all levels of government, the private sector, and other charitable and educational organizations; acting as a clearing house and information center for matters relating to the concerns and needs of members
• engaging in non-partisan research, study and analysis for the benefit of the general public on matters relating to the concerns and needs of members
• preparing educational materials and conduct educational activities in support of the general purposes of the corporation; conducting and sponsoring forums, lectures, debates and similar programs to carry out the general purposes of the corporation
• assisting other charitable, educational and social welfare organizations in the conducting of similar activities
• establishing in the principal office of the corporation or elsewhere all programs, projects and activities necessary to carry out the general purposes of the corporation, including the use of e-mails, internet websites, media, newsletters, conferences, meetings, seminars, forums and other means of effective communication to members and others concerning the purposes of the corporation
• and engaging in any and all lawful activities incidental to the foregoing purposes, except as may restricted herein

ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERS

The 2017 Annual Meeting of the Members of the Linking Arms Association will be held at 4408 Forest Drive, Suite 202; Columbia, South, Carolina 29206 on (day & date) at (time) pm Eastern Standard Time, for the election of directors and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the meeting or at any adjournment thereof. Persons who participate in any of the programs and services offered through or provided by the Linking Arms Association become members of the Association. In the event a member will not be attending the annual meeting, the member constitutes and appoints the Secretary of Linking Arms Association, the true and lawful attorney for the member with full power of substitution, to appear and act as the proxy for the member at the annual meeting and at any and all adjournments thereof, and to vote for and in the name, place and stead of the member, as fully as the member might or could do if personally present. This proxy is revocable and will not affect a member's right to vote in person in the event that the member attends the meeting.
